THE BESPOKE DESIGN PROCESS

A bespoke piece is created especially for you using the world's most precious, natural and ethically sourced materials. The highly personalized design process is based on an equal commitment to craftsmanship, innovation, and individual meaning.

 

INITIAL CONSULTATION

Available for in person appointments in Philadelphia and NYC, or virtual appointments worldwide. After booking, you will receive an email requesting the below details about your bespoke project.

1. Budget

2. Timeline (minimum six to eight weeks - please inquire for rush requests)

3. Personal details and inspiration - Who or what is this piece for? Is there anything special you would like to incorporate into this piece? Think heirloom gemstones, dates, secret messages or colors with significant meaning.

4. Ring Size

5. Metal Alloy - Platinum, 18K yellow, white, or rose gold, for example.

 

GEMSTONE SELECTION

Lindley will work with longtime trusted vendors to source the highest quality natural, colored gemstones and conflict-free, reclaimed diamonds. Sharing her knowledge of gemology and diamond grading, images and videos of the best options for your project and budget are shared until the perfect stone is found. In person diamond viewing appointments are available by special arrangement in New York and Philadelphia.  Diamond purchases will include a GIA or IGI report.

 

DESIGN AND FABRICATION

Lindley aims to offer a supportive and authentic experience creating your piece.  After inspiration and initial ideas are discussed, a series of sketches and renderings are shared until a design is approved.  Final payment is requested. Once received, fabrication begins, and the client is updated throughout the process where necessary. Images of the finished pieces are sent before shipment is arranged. A minimum of six to eight weeks is required for fabrication after a design is approved.

 

DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS

Project pricing includes the detailed and highly personal bespoke design process, material costs and studio labor. Shipping with insurance, if applicable, is a separate charge. After the initial consultation, please send a deposit to begin the diamond sourcing process. Deposits are applied to the total project cost and are non-refundable. Payment in full is required to begin fabrication.
